A service and repair business has several connected activities: arranging appointments, tracking repair orders, recording sales and maintaining financial records. Handling them as disconnected tasks makes it harder to follow the overall service workflow. Fixlocal’s scope brings these activities into a purpose-built application.
The platform includes financial ledgers, daily sales, repair orders, services and appointment booking. Development used PHP and CodeIgniter, with Google Calendar integration for appointments. The scope centres on the operational tools behind the business, while the supplied screenshot shows the public-facing website.

The central design decision is to model the business’s own activities instead of forcing them into an unrelated generic workflow. Booking, repair work and financial records each need clear responsibilities and useful interfaces. The calendar integration adds an external connection to that operational model.
